CH (LTC) Anthony L. Taylor is a native of Norfolk, VA, born in 1962. He served as Senior Pastor of Union United Church of Christ for 7and a half years while working for First Hospital Corporation as an In- Home Family Therapy Clinician. In 1999 he was accessioned to the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps and entered active service on May 1, 2000.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology (Juvenile Delinquency); Norfolk State University, in Norfolk VA -1989, a Master of Divinity Degree, Howard University in Washington D.C.-1992, a Doctor of Ministry Degree, United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH-1998, a CPE Certification, Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA-1999, Masters in Counseling and Psychology (MFT), Texas A&M Central, TX-2011. He also has specialized training in substance abuse from the Virginia Institute of Professional Addictions Counselor Training Program (VIPACT) 1994-95.
